The Lands Between is made up of six distinct realms with their own culture and scenery, from fertile plains to muggy swamps, and rolling hills to mountain crags. Characters will unravel the mysteries of the Elden Ring’s power throughout these six regions, Encountering adversaries with profound backgrounds, characters with their own unique motivations for helping or hindering your progress, and fearsome creatures. 

How Does Open World Exploration Work In Elden Ring?

Elden Ring features vast fantastical landscapes and shadowy, complex dungeons that are connected seamlessly between 6 main realms.

Players can explore the world on foot or on horseback, alone or online with other players, and become fully immersed in the grassy plains, suffocating swamps, spiraling mountains, foreboding castles and other sites of grandeur on a scale never seen before in a From Software title.

Weather Effects And Passing Time In Elden Ring

Elden Ring includes many elements that change in real time. It’s not known currently if you can rest for a specific amount time such as in other open world titles like Skyrim, but we do know there is an active Weather and Day/Night system in The Lands Between. Miyazaki also confirmed that more dangerous enemies only appear at night!
